Never wipe your crying eyes.....

Note to self:  Never ever wipe your crying eyes with fingers that have yet been washed clean from cutting up some onions.  It really does not help the flow of tears, actually it stings a lot and is really quite irratating.

I admit it, my name is Tracie, I am almost 50 and I still enjoy watching re-runs of 'Little House On The Prairie'.  Charles Ingals mother just passed away and seeing him breaking down just teared me right up. lol...I am such a sap. And I still think Almanzo is dreamy!

Ahh....and the chinook finally arrives

Oh my heck, it is finally here.  The long anticipated chinook has made it to take us out of the deep freeze we have been in....thank goodness.  I don't think I could of handled much more of those crazy drivers on the icy roads we have had for the past two weeks.  I can handle the cold....-41 degrees does not bother me....it is the careless and wreckless drivers who think they are invincible. 

News flash people, 4x4's are good for getting out of things, but they don'thelp you STOP on ICE neither do snow tires, sure they grip much better than all seasons for sure, but ice is ice...slam on the breaks and well the rest is history.

Whew....now we can breath for a short bit before the next 2 weeks of freeze arrives, actually I hope it holds out until after Christmas. ;)
